The following are some of the styles of Yoga offered at Crofton Yoga. Please check our current class schedule and workshops for classes.
Pranakriya: Based on the original writings and lectures of Swami Kripalu, this practice was developed in 2005 by Yoganand Michael Carroll, a Senior Kripalu teacher. This practice focuses on inquiry, exploration and self-discovery in an effort to nourish the whole person and help one address everyday problems.
Kripalu: Inspired by Kripalvananda (Swami Kripalu) and developed by his disciple Amrit Desai, Kripalu Yoga is a three-stage practice to increase body awareness, postural alignment and coordination of breath with movement. Meditation and breathwork are also important components.
Integrative Yoga Therapy: Builds strength, flexibility and relaxation using mindfulness and the breath.
Multi Style: A class with roots in a variety of different teaching styles and traditions.
Power Pilates: Power Pilates is a classical approach to Pilates, which is a simple progression of movements taught in a systematic manner used to stabilize, strengthen and stretch your core muscles and increase overall strength and wellness.
Radiant Child Yoga Program (RCYP) is a certificate program for teaching yoga teachers, school teachers, parents and all others who are interested in learning how to teach children yoga. The RCYP courses have qualified as CEUs for public school systems, and as credit hours for RYT certification through Yoga Alliance. RCYP, was developed by Shakta Kaur Khalsa, whose vision of sharing the benefits of yoga with children all around the world was the creative spark that initiated the program.
